CLAUDINE EWING

Claudine hails from the beautiful settlement of Blue Hills, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands; born to proud parents Hon. Hilly and Jane Ewing. She is the thirteenth of fourteen children. Having reached tertiary education with a specialized degree in accounting, she later learned that she didn’t like numbers as much as she liked people. As someone who love interacting with her community, she was encouraged to enter Miss Turks and Caicos Beauty Pageant in 1989 and represented her country at The Miss African World beauty pageant in Gambia, Africa and captured 3rd place among many other awards. This experience left a life-long impact on her that sparked her interest in doing more community service. Claudine’s career started in the Travel and Hospitality Industry and spans over 20 years, but her life always involved some form of charitable work. Her involvement in numerous non-profit organizations positively impacts so many lives and specifically the lives of those with Special Needs and Youth Development. After the 2016 General Election campaign, because of the ground work that was done, she saw a great need for more champions in the field of Youth Development and answered the call to become the first Executive Director of United Way TCI. United Way Worldwide is an international non-profit organization whose pillars are Education, Health and Financial Stability. Claudine’s passion for Youth Development work is evident; her Passion for People and Community Development & Nation Building has convinced her that Together We Can Achieve Anything! Claudine is the biological mother to two beautiful children, but a mother-figure to so many more.

MARK A. FULFORD

Managing Partner at award winning law firm F Chambers Attorneys based in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. He is an organizer and communicator with extensive experience in public administration and policy making and banking. His expertise lies in Inward Investment, Corporate Structuring, Development, Immigration, Employment, Real Estate and also litigation. He is an outstanding graduate of the University of Buckingham Law School and the first Turks and Caicos Islander to receive the coveted Merit Prize Award. Mr. Fulford has enjoyed a number of public interest successes as an Attorney. Fulford is a founding member and Chairman of the Board of 17 Directors for United Way of Turks and Caicos Islands. Fulford is married with two beautiful daughters and his only begotten son.

VICE CHAIRMAN

REX MESSEM

Director of United Way TCI and a leading Real Estate Agent with the oldest establish real estate company on the island of Providenciales. Rex is originally from Nassau, Bahamas. Educated at Prince Williams Baptist High School he later obtained a Certificate of Specialization in Food and Beverage Management from the Educational Institute of American Hotel and Motel Association. Rex has worked in various positions at Paradise Island Resorts and Casino for 19 years, including Food and Beverage Manager. In December 1992 he resigned and relocated to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands and worked in management positions at two of the major resorts including Grace Bay Club and the Royal Bay Resorts and Villas before joining Engel & Völkers Turks and Caicos.

TREASURER

SNJEZANA ANDREWS

Real Estate Developer, Snjezana Andrews is the former General Manager of The Somerset luxury resort on Grace Bay. Mrs. Andrews is a serial entrepreneur for the past 16 years with businesses in the real estate (White Rock Realty Ltd.), tourism (Caicos Wheels Ltd., Island & Tours & Excursions Ltd. and Conch & Coconuts Ltd.) and financial services (The A Team Ltd. and Paycheques) and construction services (Frontline Cleaning, Construction & Supplies) sectors. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), holding a Master’s in Business Management and dual Bachelor’s Degrees; one in Finance and the other in Accounting. Snjezana started her career with IBM in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina as a Fixed Asset Accountant. From there she went on to work for Ernst & Young LLP as an auditor. She transitioned back to home to Turks & Caicos in 2006 where she worked as auditor for Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP and then Grant Thorton. Snjezana was appointed to the Turks & Caicos Islands’ Society of Professional Accountants’ Board in March 2018, where she sat as one of the Executives of the Council. In June 2018, she was nominated as the Turks & Caicos Islands’ representative to sit on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC); the first person from the Country to hold this role; a role which she held for 2 years. She currently holds the title of Board Treasurer for United Way Worldwide in the Turks & Caicos, a philanthropic organization that has been named as leading US organization in the world on the Forbes list in 2016 and 2017. She is also a member of TCHTA’s inaugural group of Young Leaders since 2019. Snjezana is married and is a mother to 4 beautiful children.

STEPHANIE FITZGERALD

Director with the United Way TCI since inception, and she presently serves as the Board of Directors' Secretary. Stephanie, who is originally from Canada, has called TCI her home since 2008. Prior to her relocation, she worked for RBC for 10 years in Canada then for a further 13 years in TCI. Her prior experience was in commercial banking, where she provided financial guidance and support to numerous businesses in Canada and on island. She made the decision to shift her career path after spending 23 years in the banking sector, taking up the position of Director of Finance for a Group of Companies that specializes in High-end Retail and Real Estate Management with a concentration on Asset Management. Stephanie has also served on numerous fundraising committees and volunteered for organizations both locally and in Canada. She enjoys being active during her downtime by swimming, going to the gym, or playing/walking with her two Potcakes.

JOE ZAHM

President/Broker of Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International and United Way TCI Board Member. Joe Zahm, a US trained attorney, is an acknowledged leader in the Turks & Caicos Islands’ resort, real estate and development sectors. In the past 33 years Joe has played an integral role in the design, development, sales and marketing of many of TCI's finest developments and in the process has brokered significant real estate sales, but that’s not all. Joe, as the songwriter and producer of such TCI classics as Beautiful by Nature and Everyman has combined his musical talent and love for the island to support a number of local causes. The crafted 'Enriching the Lives of Youth with Music ' was a campaign set up in order to raise funds for a music studio at Gartland Youth Center where local children could play and record music and discover their talents. Joe continues to utilize his passion and highly connected network for the greater good through a variety of causes, demonstrating that the universal language of giving and music can truly foster positive change on the island. Joe serves as a Board Director of United Way Turks and Caicos, and look forward to changing young lives on this Beautiful by Nature island we call home.

GALMO WILLIAMS

Former Premier and former Member of Parliament in the Turks & Caicos Islands, CEO of Gilley’s Enterprises Ltd. group of companies, Galmo (Gilley) Williams to many is a man of purpose. Never about self, but through hard work and dedication he has positioned himself to serve his fellow man. A Chef by profession, Gilley began his entrepreneurship by establishing the first in a line of successful businesses at the Providenciales International Airport, a Restaurant called ‘Gilley’s Café’. From there stemmed a multitude of businesses ranging from wholesale imports to car rental. Gilley’s passion for youth education has led him to become a founding member of the British West Indies Collegiate, an institution providing quality secondary education in the Turks & Caicos Islands. His strong belief in the fight against HIV/AIDS, has led to him being a founding member and patron of the Turks & Caicos Aids Awareness Foundation (TCAAF). Gilley is a devout Christian and he fervently believes that his faith in God has much to do with his successes over the decades. He is married to Althea Ewing-Williams of Providenciales, who is also a successful business-woman, and together they have four children and eleven grandchildren.

ARIEL MISICK

Founder of Misick & Stanbrook, the most distinguished law firm within the Turks and Caicos Islands. Ariel's areas of practice include: civil and commercial litigation; constitutional law; trusts law; banking and corporate and commercial. He specializes in the resolution of disputes, where his training and years of expertise has allowed him to bring a professional edge to a range of high profile and multi-jurisdictional disputes. Ariel is a former Government Minister for the Turks and Caicos Islands and a former member of the Turks and Caicos Islands Legislative Assembly. Some of the current legislative enactments relating to the commercial law were introduced or shaped by input from him. Ariel has served on several public and private boards within the Turks and Caicos Islands. He was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in January 1999 and a Queen’s Counsel in 2000.

NINA SIEGENTHALER

Vice President of Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International and Board Director of United Way Turks and Caicos. Nina began working with Joe Zahm in 2003 and 2023 marks Nina’s 20th year in the Turks & Caicos Island’s real estate industry. Consistently ranked as the top producer in the jurisdiction, she is specialized in high-end property marketing and sales. In the midst of it all, Nina always finds time to help those in need around her. Nina’s strong community spirit, generosity and eagerness to help is driven by commitment to aid the younger generation, Nina dedicates her time and efforts whenever possible. Whether it is through mentorship programs, educational initiatives, or MLS training courses, Nina’s responsibility to guiding and supporting the next generation is unwavering.

STANLEY WILLIAMS

Stanley was born in Bottle Creek, North Caicos where he attended primary and junior high school then went on to complete high school in Grand Turk. In 1980, he successfully completed a course at the Customs and Excise Regional Training School in Trinidad. In 1983, he completed the studies as a Commercial Pilot and Flight Engineer in Kenneth, Missouri, USA. In 1986 he was offered a job by Carib West Limited as the Branch Manager. Carib West was the first wholesale/retail liquor store in Providenciales. Of course, he gladly accepted the offer which afforded him this opportunity to gain experience in management. As a result, he was promoted to General Manager which indeed was a great experience and later propelled him into becoming an entrepreneur. During his employment with Carib West, he was afforded the opportunity to attend courses in Time Management, Marketing for Success and Strategic Planning. As a result of Stanley's experience in Sales, he felt the urge to follow his dreams of becoming his own boss and in 1997 opened a small variety store which was called Provo Discount. This later proved to be one of the best decision of his life. Due to his dedication and commitment to this business he was able to earn monies that allowed him to make other investments such as the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty Car Rental Franchise. Stanley realized at an early age that sound investment opportunities existed in Banking, Real Estate and Insurance and he pursued opportunities in those industries. He is currently a major Shareholder and Chairman in Coldwell Bankers Real Estate, (Turks & Caicos), Chairman and Shareholder in Turks & Caicos First lnsurance Company (which is the first locally owned insurance company) and he is currently an Auctioneer and Notary Public. Due to his desire to help others that are facing challenges, Stanley became one of the founding members and Director of United Way Turks and Caicos.

ROB AYER

Developer/Entrepreneur - Rob is a Canadian National who has lived and worked in Turks and Caicos for over 22 years. He has developed two luxury resorts and continues to invest in the development of the country. Rob’s entrepreneurial spirit has led him to design and build the beautiful beachfront hotel, Wymara, as well as the highly popular H20 Lifestyle Resort on Providenciales. Rob’s staff has attested to him being a passionate, honorable and hard working person with whom they love to work. Rob is an avid spokesperson of the Turks and Caicos, convincing many much needed foreign investors to take part in developing this beautiful Gem called home. Rob is passionate about “giving back”, especially initiatives that help with Youth Development, hence, his attachment to United Way TCI whose mandate is Education and “investing in human capital”. In his leisure time, Rob takes to his favourite sport of Kiteboarding. Rob is a family man, married to Wendy Ayer and together they have three beautiful and talented children.

ADRAIN STUBBS

Businessman, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist at heart who embarked on his ambitious journey immediately following high school. He founded his first company “One Take Production” fueled by his love and passion for the Audio & Visual Arts. Adrain in collaboration with former Miss Turks and Caicos 2007 and the then Youth Ambassador purposed their talents and influence to spearhead a national “Stop the Violence” campaign that reached out to high-school students in the wake of a highly publicized fatal act violence involving teenage boys. With a mindset of accountability and a commitment to community, as member of the Rotaract Club Adrain assisted with numerous social and community initiatives that contributed to the beautification of local Communities throughout Providenciales. 2008 ushered in a new era of definitiveness as Adrain embarked on a journey that honed, tested and fortified his management and leadership abilities, he joined in with his Family’s vision to create, own and operate “The People’s Television Network”. A successful indigenously owned Television Network that has been operating in a diverse market with International Telecommunications giants as its direct competitors. Adrain sat as the Technical Director for the company from its inception until the year 2016, and continued his professional growth as he was promoted to the now Company’s Managing Director. In addition, he also seats as The Vice President for Andrews Communications LTD. A position he has held since 2010 until 2020 when he became president. As an avid boatsman, his passion for the seas has taught him to live by a simple yet profound rule, “No man left behind”. This mantra is at the forefront of his beliefs when it comes to anyone he interacts with. Peter “Adrian” Stubbs lives in the Beautiful by Nature Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands with his Wife Mica Stubbs and two beautiful daughters Peyton and Paris.

CEO and co-Founder of Grace Bay Resorts. Mark has been instrumental in the growth in luxury resort and residential development in the Turks and Caicos (TCI) for over 20 years, having initially led a partnership acquisition and $100 million redevelopment of the award-winning Grace Bay Club. Since that time Grace Bay Resorts has grown into one of the largest hospitality & development companies in TCI, with ownership & management investments in four luxury resort properties, generating nearly $100 million in annual revenues and employing over 600 staff. These properties include Point Grace, West Bay Club, Rock House and the Private Villa Collection. In 2023 Grace Bay Resorts will partner with esteemed developer Windward Development, providing hospitality management for the prestigious Southbank.
